The Apple TV has a slim guide which has all the instructions to setup your Apple TV set and then configure it with any of the HD TV’s. The only cable provided to you is the HDMI cable which is sufficient; audio and video cables are not required. Using this HDMI cable, the Apple TV is connected to your LCD TV set. The next step is to turn on your television set and then plug in the power cable of Apple TV set which does not have an on and off switch. The introduction video is played which can be skipped by clicking the menu button on the remote. The wireless networks available will be displayed from which you join the WPA or WEP network and enter the required password.

The Apple TV now gives us a pass-code of 5 numbers which is to be entered in the iTunes list of devices under Apple TV. We then name our Apple television and thereafter the registration is optional and one does not require an external browser to do so. People have the habit of connecting the cables to Apple first and then to the display unit which is not preferred. Instead the display should be switched on first and then the Apple Mac and finally connection to the display should be made first and then to the Apple TV set.
