Things to consider when doing a Video Projector Installation
Saturday, February 26, 2011    1:17 pm

When doing a video projector installation, one should keep several things in mind. The most important thing to be kept in the mind is to take care of image offset. Image offset in table top installation is the distance between center of lens to the image bottom and in ceiling installation it is the distance between the center of the lens to the image top. Generally it should be greater than 100% because a projector has a fixed projector angle. Generally image should be above the center of the lens, because then only it would be possible to have viewable project image.i.e. www.audiovideoking.com

Generally, projectors are mounted at ceiling. For that, you will need a ceiling  mount, Plumbing pipe – this is used to even the projector lens with the top of the screen. However, if lens of projector is shift-able this length is not so critical. Then, a mount assembly is needed to mount the projector. After securing the bracket to the projector, the PVC pipe has to be attached to the bracket and the pipe has to be secured to the ceiling stud with U-bolts. In some cases, infrared extender is needed if the sound booth is at long distance or not in line of sight of the projector. Another thing that is needed is to wire the projector for Computer and other possible devices like Camera or VCR,DVD. It is possible that you will need a switch box to select between the video sources. Lastly, you need to provide AC power for the projector and IR extender. AC outlet can be in ceiling. Also, it is considered as good idea to have all the cables through hanging pipe, that makes look installation tidy.
