Full form of DLP is Digital Light Processing. DLP TV’s were introduced in the year 1987 in Texas. They are capable of processing light digitally, thus this name. Two models of it are available; three chip and one chip model. For normal use one chip DLP TV is preferred but for larger screens you require the three chip one. Weight wise DLP TV is light compared to tube ones, but because of its bulkiness it cannot be hanged from a wall.
